Newark-on-Trent is well served by public transport, the ideal way to reach the festival, and has excellent road links too.
The venue is within easy walking distance of Newark Castle station, and not too far a walk from Newark Northgate station. Northgate station is generally for North-South travel by East Coast Trains, and for East-West travel, East Midlands Trains stop at the Castle station.
From the bus station, head towards the castle and you will find us from there
If you can find a bargain flight, we are only about a 40 minute drive from East Midlands Airport Regular flights operate from European destinations as well as the major UK cities.
Designated drivers bringing friends or family by road will find us located adjacent to a Council car park, which is pay-and-display. Many other car parks operate close by in the town.
Soft drinks are available in the marquee for our designated drivers.
Nottinghamshire County Council provide a journey planner for travel within the county. Very useful for those more complicated routes.
Volunteer staff at the beer festival will be able to provide you with some timetable information for your journey home. There will also be a list of telephone numbers for local taxi companies.
With so many beers to sample, you may consider an overnight stay in Newark. As well as numerous hotels (available through normal on-line booking sites, or contact Newark Tourist Information on 01636 655765) there are several hostelries in Newark offering rooms. See our online Pub Guide.
