Buxton Coach Trip

Transport to next branch meeting.

Transport has been arranged for the next branch meeting which is Thursday Feb 5th at the Old Coach House, Southwell. The bus will be leaving from outside the Gilstrap Centre on Castle Gate at 7.30pm and the cost is £5 a head. Real Ale Collective of Newark

New beer initiative planned for Newark.

An idea was suggested by a local publican recently that a ‘Newark Beer Collective’ be set up with a view to putting Newark well and truly on the UK’s Real Ale map, tentatively named ‘RACOON’ – The Real Ale COllective Of Newark. Nigel Brown – A Tribute. 1

Sadly this year’s  Newark Beer Festival is taking place without festival stalwart Nigel Brown, who passed away last October. Nigel worked tirelessly along-side myself, backstage and behind the scenes for many years. His life-long interest in rock music made him a familiar face around the local music scene, his infectious enthusiasm rubbing off on many that came into contact with him.
