Pheasantry Brewery Holds First Beer Festival.

The Pheasantry Brewery near East Markham is holding their 1St Beer Festival and Family Weekend from 20th to 23rd June. Six of their own beers, including Pheasantry Pilsner and the summer special Dancing Dragonfly, will be available, plus numerous guest ales and ciders. Newark Brewery preview.

Your intrepid reporters have just returned from a guided tour of the soon-to-open Newark Brewery. The old maltings on William Street have most of the original features intact and is a magnificent housing for the brewery, which will be the first brewery in Newark since the closure of the Maple Leaf (Winthorpe Road, now demolished) brew pub plant in 1986. Last call for Oldershaw Brewery visit.

There are only four places left on the bus for next Thursday’s (26th) brewery visit to Oldershaws in Grantham. The bus will leave from outside Just Beer at 6.30pm and arrive at Oldershaw’s for 7pm, where we will spend a couple of hours sampling, accompanied by some nibbles. A visit to Oldershaw Brewery has been arranged for the evening of Thursday 19th April from 7pm for a couple of hours.  The minibus will pick up at Just Beer Micropub at approximately 6.30pm.  The minibus cost will be £6.00 per head (payable on the evening please).  This is based on a maximum of 15 persons.  There will be no admission fee and brewery owner Kathy Britton has kindly offered to put on some nibbles. Springhead Holds Beer Festival. 2

The complete list for the upcoming Beer Muda Triangle Beer Festival (26th – 29th January) is now available. The BeerMuda Triangle Beer Festival is being run between Just Beer, the Castle and Prince Rupert (three pubs = triangle!, geddit?). The annual pilgrimage to Bradford has been organised for Saturday, 25th Feb, details as follows: Coach from The Wharf at approx 0900 and will pick up and drop off on way to and from the venues.
