Pub of the Year
CAMRA awards the Pub of the Year certificate to a pub which, quite apart from serving top-quality real ale, has other notable qualities. This may be community spirit, good food, excellent ambiance, protected building or improvements to the pub.
Quality of beer is obviously the most important single factor in nominating a pub, but others should also be taken into consideration;
Atmosphere, service and welcome, clientele, sympathy with CAMRA aims and value for money all come in to the equation. You can read about the full judging process here.
Whatever the reasons, you can be assured that the current Pub of the Year will serve you a cracking pint of real ale.
If you think you know a pub in our area that deserves this title, email us with your nominations and reasons. A full list of eligible pubs can be found here.
