Busses to meetings will appear in the month before the meeting.
Past socials are at the bottom. Suggestions are more than welcome – tell us what you would like to do socials@newarkcamra.org.uk

None of the socials (besides branch meetings) will happen unless you tell us you want to do it.

Local festivals using Public transport will be added as soon as possible.

Vale of Belvoir Pub Walk and Bus Trip August 31


Sat 31st August, Vale of Belvoir Pub Walk and Bus Trip

Pick up 11:30am from the Wharf and arrive at Belvoir Brewery for opening.

We will then walk to chosen pubs along the route, the bus stays with us as a supporting role for those who dont want to walk or get tired. It will be a 10/13 mile walk.

Dogs are welcome on the bus so long as not on the seat.

POTY Presentation 2018
Sunday 11th February. Start  at  Just Beer, Newark at 12.00 to Final Whistle, Southwell, Journey departing Newark from the Wharf at 14:00. The return trip leaves the Final Whistle at 18.00.

Depart 19.30 and return 22.00 ish

Sun 5th March from Newark [Swan and Salmon Yard (near Just Beer) at 15.00 to Final Whistle, Southwell, return trip leaves at 17.00 . Southwell member who want to come back to Newark return with us at 17:00 and see below.
Journey departing Newark to return Southwell Members (as necessary) approx 19.00 from Just Beer.

April Meeting The Plough, CauntonThurs 6th April 
from Ram Hotel to The Plough, Caunton.
Free Bus, Leaving Ram Hotel at 19:30 and returning to Newark at 22:30 (arriving in Newark at 22:50).

Spring Beer Survey – 6th May 2017
Free bus – 16 seater. First come, first served. Leaving The Ram Hotel at 11:45. Returning to Newark between 7:30pm and 8pm. We will order food ahead for anyone who wants it.

Forever Bury
Beer Festival

– 11th-13th May 2017
We have been contacted by Bury CAMRA who have told us about their event. See fb-beerfestivals or their poster here.
Options are as follows;
1. You make your own way.
2. You travel with me and find your own accommodation.
3. You travel with me/us, and stay in our motorhome. It sleeps 4 comfortably, but we will all be in the same room (so to speak).

We will be distributing Newark CAMRA Beer Festival promotional material on to table on this occasion, which qualifies as ‘campaigning’ so this may be a free trip (minus beer and food)

Leaving Newark Castle Station at 17:52. Return options are 21:40 or 22:26 back to Castle.
Meet at Newark Station Ticket Office at 17:45. Free entry for card carrying members, Non-members naturally welcome.

40 years since the story of Castle Rock began Friday 2nd June – Saturday 3rd June

Castle Rock Brewery Yard/Vat and Fiddle -Nottingham

This year  Castle Rock will be celebrating this milestone by throwing a beer festival with live music in the brewery yard, cold store and Vat and Fiddle. Click the link above for more.

As this is East Coast, there are unlikely to be any vast group savings, but the suggested train and currently the cheapest is an Anytime Day Return. We found this;
