3 pints a binge session?

Say no to cold beer!

I picked up a beer mat in Nottingham on Saturday that instructs ‘Say no to warm beer’. The beer mat in question is for Carling ‘Extra Cold’. What the hell are the ‘brewers’ thinking of? The tiny bit of flavour Carling might have had, even after filtration and pasteurisation, will certainly not be detectable after it’s served at just above freezing. Or perhaps that is the point? InBev strike

Much has been made of the workers’ strike at the giant AB InBev brewery plants at Leuven, Jupille and Hoegaarden in Belgium this last week. Supplies of Stella were expected to run out on Belgian supermarket shelves over the weekend. God forbid! Drinkers may be so desperate that they now have to choose something from one of the 120-or-so independent breweries making excellent brews in this great beer-making country. They must be laughing down their mash tuns.
