A single, ‘Pubs Hold the Answer’, available on digital download from iTunes, aims to help the pub industry. It is by industry insider David Fitzgerald of stocktacking company Venners, AKA Will Francis (stage name), in support of the great British pub. Not too cheesey, quite catchy even… but will it do any good? Well, it’s certainly worth a try I suppose.
Don’t forget about the Gate to Southwell Folk Festival this weekend, held in the grounds of the National Trust Southwell Workhouse. As well as a host of top performers, there is a beer festival featuring around 50 real ales plus cider and perry. There is also a host of events happening around the town in pubs and other venues.
