The 4th York Beer Festival is being held at the Knavesmire racecourse area on 19 – 22 Sep. Marquees open from 12 noon. A 49 seater coach has been booked for Saturday 22 Sep for all those interested in sampling the delights. The coach will leave London Road Car Park at 10a.m. and return from York at 7p.m.
The cost will be £10.00 per head dependent upon a full coach.
Entrance to the Festival will be on the doors (no advance tickets being issued) at £3.00 (CAMRA Members) and £5.00 (non Members), £1.50 per polycarbonate glass (real glasses not allowed apparently!) and a programme at £1.00.
Not sure at the moment if our coach driver will be going into York (but an update will be given closer to the date), however local York bus service Nos 4, 12, 13, 37, 843, 844 and 845 run to and from the racecourse into York for those who wish to sample the delights of the city bars during the afternoon. Please check with the drivers as to where they drop off and pick up from.
